Editing 2minute film

Now we have taken all of the shots we can begin editing. We decided that editing individually would be the best way to experiment with ideas, and also give each member an equal opportunity to have a go at editing. We took the footage from the camera to the tape deck to import it into Final Cut. We purposefully shot more footage than we needed to give us a lot to play with in the editing stage.
So from this I edited it together using the storyboard as reference. It came to my attention that because all of the tracking shots were done hand-held, they were fairly shaky, making them not ideal for professional production. So after trying various plugins that didn't do the job, i resorted to using the SmoothCam within Final Cut pro. The final effect was fairly effective although the amount of cropping needed to steady the outer frames was too much making the shots feel too closed in. I opted to leave it out of the final cut.
