Researching skeletons part 2


In diablo 3 the skeletons are depicted with a more stylised aesthetic. This is closer to the design I think we will have in our game. As the enemies will have to be duplicated and used multiple times within the same scene, they will have to be somewhat scaled down. By this I mean the simplified look that Diablo have used will be a very efficient way of modelling the skeletons allowing them to demand less CPU during play. I will be focusing on reducing polycount on these models to help the game further. Despite the fact that our environments and characters will be fairly minimal and will most likely not suffer from high detailed models, I feel these are needed skills to take on for future work where these techniques will be useful.
