Researching skeletons...

As one of my roles in the FMP will be to model the skeletal enemies that our knight will have to fight. I will be looking at various versions of 3D skeletons done over the years in the video game industry to understand how they can be produced. The conceptual aspect of the design will be left down to Ken, but it is a good idea to research the modelled versions as well. Here in the game Skyrim, skeletons are featured as undead warriors. They are very realistic in their aesthetic and are somewhat over detailed for what I will be attempting. Our game will feature a cartoon stylised look so I will be researching more versions. The rigging of the character will be a different process for me as the minimal model will have to be controlled the same way but it could produce problems as the anatomy of the character will be different to what i've had to rig before. As well as being anatomically correct the skeleton wil have to be instantly recognisable in its look and movement. Having the enemies collapse when killed will be a nice feature although time dependant.
